Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra: A 40th anniversary campaign for one of the world’s top baroque orchestras

Acme was commissioned to design the creative campaign for the 40th Anniversary 2018/19 season of Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra—including a graphic identity for the season and creative imagery for 11 concerts. The central photo-based design includes a “40th” hero image featuring a baroque wooden sunburst that I hand-built based on historical designs.

I commissioned boutique floral designer Lauren Sellen / Coyote Flowers to create unique arrangements for two of the concerts—Vivaldi Con Amore and Bach St Matthew Passsion—The image created for the Vivaldi concert was subsequently used as cover art for a recording of the program. Sculptor and designer Andrei Casserly was also commissioned to sculpt a monogram for the end-of-season Bach Magnificat concert.

I handled all art direction and photography for the concert images and designed a wide-range of print and digital collateral, including brochures, postcards, posters, print and digital ads, email newsletters, direct mail and stationary. I also developed a comprehensive style guide and template package for the in-house communications team.
